LIFTED VENTURES-BACKED FUTURE GREENS SECURES £500K TO SCALE WASTE-TO-ENERGY TECHNOLOGY

Future Greens, a pioneering company transforming food industry waste into green energy, has successfully closed a £500,000 funding round, combining a £160,000 UK Government grant with equity investment unlocked through Lifted Ventures. This capital injection will accelerate the deployment of its modular anaerobic digestion systems to breweries and other high-volume food and drink producers.

The investment round saw participation from prominent investors, including PXN Group, One Planet Capital, Baltic Ventures, Venture.Community, and the Lifted Ventures angel investor network.

Gabrielė Barteškaitė, Co-Founder of Future Greens, said: “This investment allows us to accelerate delivery for already awaiting customers. Starting with breweries, our mission is to increase food industry resilience through renewable technology. Grateful to be backed by Lifted Ventures and for the exceptional female investors joining us on this journey.”

Helen Oldham, Co-Founder of Lifted Ventures, said: “The team at Future Greens exemplifies the innovation and determination that Lifted Ventures angel investors look to add to their portfolios. Their approach to sustainable energy generation is both practical and scalable, and we are proud to be part of their journey.”

Jordan Dargue, Co-Founder of Lifted Ventures, added: “Future Greens is addressing a critical environmental challenge while providing a tangible economic benefit for food and beverage producers. We’re thrilled to support their mission and look forward to seeing the impact of their technology on the industry.”

Future Greens’ technology generates renewable energy from the organic by-products of the food industry. Their AI-driven anaerobic digesters operate ten times faster than conventional systems. By converting organic waste into biogas, their system reduces trade effluent and waste disposal costs while lowering CO₂ emissions and improving operational resilience. They’re preparing for their first deployment on a brewery site in 2026.
