Jordan at the House of Commons Business & Trade Committee: Unlocking Capital for Women-Led Businesses

Yesterday, our co-founder Jordan headed to London to give evidence to the House of CommonsDepartment for Business and Trade‘s Business and Trade Committee and the Rt Hon Liam Byrne MP on a topic that matters…

Access to capital for female founders

We were proud to share this moment with Debbie WaskowSonia Kumar MP, and Debra McDonald.

Jordan highlighted the barriers women-led businesses still face, including limited networks, mentorship, “warm” introductions, and the gender imbalance in venture capital decision-making.

She also shared her optimism: New funds, initiatives and public programmes that are helping to narrow the gap. More of this please!

Women-led businesses are a huge, untapped engine of growth, innovation and social impact and we’re hopeful that our input into the Committee’s work will help shape policies that genuinely support female entrepreneurs.
