Angel investing sits at the heart of our mission at Lifted Ventures.
Through our education programmes, events, and growing investment community, we’re helping more women step confidently into the world of investing while backing the next generation of female founders across the UK regions.
This work directly supports our 2025–2027 Manifesto, which commits us to activating new women angel investors, growing a powerful community of women in venture capital, and bringing together investors and founders through meaningful events and learning opportunities.
By opening the door to angel investing, we’re unlocking women’s wealth, leadership, and economic influence and helping turn bold ideas into thriving regional businesses.
Beginner
Angel Education
At Lifted Ventures, we’re passionate about empowering the next generation of angel investors. Through the Lifted Angel Academy, 106 women have completed our education programmes, gaining the knowledge and confidence to invest in early-stage businesses.
Our programmes have run across the Midlands, Manchester, and Yorkshire, alongside a virtual advanced investment programme designed for those looking to deepen their expertise.
Advanced
Angel Education
Launched in November 2025, our Advanced Angel Investor Workshop Series equips our angel investors with the skills to critically assess and actively support early-stage investments.
The Advanced Angel Investor Series is exclusively for members of the Lifted Angel Network and features sessions led by guest experts, offering practical insights to help angels strengthen their investment skills and confidently support early-stage founders.
The programme will continue throughout 2026, helping our angels take their investing to the next level.

Events
Our community of women angel investors is growing and we’re always keen to welcome more angels into the network.
Our events play an important role in sharing why women backing women matters. They also introduce the fundamentals of startup investing, showing that with the right knowledge and support network, angel investing can be far more accessible than many people think.
Women Angels Conference
Our annual Women Angels Conference brings together our angel network, partners and ecosystem builders, and more importantly, women who are thinking about becoming an angel investor.
This is a great event where you’ll hear first hand from our angels about how easy it is and how supported you’ll be on your journey to your first investment and beyond with the Lifted Angel Network by your side.
Lunchtime Lives – A beginners guide to Angel Investing
Run quarterly, these one-hour lunchtime sessions are designed for women who are curious about angel investing.
This informal webinar is a chance to ask any burning questions and hear directly from Lifted Ventures’ co-founders, Helen and Jordan, who will share their expert insights and honest perspectives on what it really takes to get started as an angel investor.
