Join us on our Lifted Women Angel Education Programmes in January 2025

Lifted Ventures continue our mission to educate and empower women in the regions to become angel investors, aiming to drive greater diversity and innovation into the UK investment ecosystem, thanks to support from the British Business Bank. Through specialised and tailored women angel education, we equip potential women angels with the knowledge and tools to invest confidently in early-stage startups, particularly those founded by women.

With only 14% of the UK’s angel investors currently women, we recognise the critical importance of increased female participation in the investment space. With the support of the British Business Bank and GM Business Growth Hub, we are launching an angel education programme which is taking place in Birmingham and Manchester (with Yorkshire to be announced) aiming to reach a broader audience and create a more inclusive and representative investment ecosystem.

This programme is ideal for women leaders and professionals who are looking to increase their investment knowledge, give back to women founders from their region and join a growing movement of women backing women.

It is a 16-hour free-to-attend programme which focuses on the angel investment process, from understanding what angel investment is all the way through to completing due diligence on an opportunity and understanding tax-efficient investment incentives.

As we continue to expand educational initiatives, the goal remains clear: to grow the number of women angel investors across the UK. More female investors mean more diverse perspectives in investment decisions, greater funding opportunities for female-founded businesses, and a stronger, more resilient economy.

If you would like to join us on these educational programmes, please register your interest with us below. Manchester starts on 10th January at 10am and Birmingham begins on 17th January at 10am. More details can be found below.
